How to Make Rainbow Word Art in Microsoft Word
I'll admit it – I've jumped on the pastel rainbow bandwagon and there'south no turning back!!!! (Well perchance, when the next adorable trend turns my head… simply for at present… I'm all near those rainbows!) Rainbows accept brought me joy since I was a kid in the 80s and I am more than happy that they are again surfacing as super cool (I was super cool dorsum then, right?? – Don't answer that.) I walked by tertiary grade instructor Barbara Pinto's classroom last calendar week more than once and was intrigued not only by the rainbow title text, but also by her blended learning slide (but more on that another time).
During her planning time, I happened to pop past about something unrelated (because I practise actually care about things OTHER than how beautiful stuff looks…) but I admit, I speedily changed the subject to "how did you do make your text RAINBOW like that?!?!?"
Before I share Barbara'southward answer, I should mention, that I practise know a way to brand rainbow text very easily in Google Slides using the Magic Rainbow Unicorns Slides Improver. Larn more than in this weblog post. Okay… so I know THAT way… simply what I saw in Ms. Pinto'south classroom was different! It was Word Art – which allows you to have a border effectually the letters – and instead of each letter being a different color, they were all multi-colored!!! Then… back to my question:
Me: How did you brand your text rainbow like THAT!?!?!
Ms. Pinto: I simply used the slope characteristic.
Me (internally slapping my forehead with my palm): Oh my goodness! No fashion! I never idea to use information technology like that!
If y'all haven't heard of or used the slope feature before, it is probably considering almost of the uses I've seen for it accept been less than awesome looking. This feature often reminds me of the early WordArt of the 90s – changing between colors… but the style Barbara used it? BRILLIANT! Once she explained information technology, it dawned on me that I've seen the brilliant Kelly New do this before, also. Does everyone know most this and I am merely late to the party… well… amend tardily than never!
Below I share a tutorial for how to utilize the slope characteristic with WordArt in Google Slides – this will let you use ANY color combos you want! WOOT! Here'due south the step-by-step instructions for how to create RAINBOW WORD Fine art using the Gradient characteristic:
- Insert, Word Art
- Type your words, enter
- Change the font to something awesome
